 26/10/2023 PDW Reflection Report During the beginning of week 8, I was looking forward to attending the webinars that were organized by our lecturers and Mr. Izwal. The ones that I have chosen were focused on tips in the workplace and interviews as well as insights into the creative industry. One of the few companies that helped put it all together were Allianz, GSK and C47 Creative. The reasons why I chose those specifically were because I had my worries when it came to choosing jobs or internships in the future and the processes that would follow it. Interviews are very common, if you were unlucky and didn't get hired on the spot! It was one aspect that I always felt nervous about when I thought about having to do them in the future, so obtaining advice from the very professionals who conducted them was going to prove very valuable to me. WEEK 1 When being briefed about what we were going to do for this project, my mind was swirling with ideas. I kept thinking about how to incorporate what I was best at - which is character design - with something that was more interesting than a simple illustrative poster. The general summary of what we are supposed to do is create an art installation for a company that we are collaborating with using the materials they will give us. It has to represent the theme of the environment and the impact blister packets and unused inhalers have on it. TASK 1 PROCESS Week 1: RESEARCH For our research, some of us looked into specifically inhalers and blister packaging waste and the impact it has on the environment. We compiled some notes on it on to Miro. I focused on blister packaging and surprisingly, most of the results on Google showed scholarly articles regarding that topic.
