It  addresses an artwork's visual  attributes such as color, line, texture, and size. It  may also include historical context or interpretations of  meaning . For our final project, the first part of our task was to conduct a visual analysis on a piece of artwork that we liked in 500 words. It can be from any artist that we draw inspiration from, and I'm sure ones who do many different mediums too. It took me a while to decide which artist I'd like to analyse art from but decided on a digital artist that goes by the name 'Anushbanush' on social media. Figure 1.1 Artwork from Anush...

02.06.2021 -  09.06.2021 (Week 10-11) Haura Laiqa Naznin / 0345050 / Bachelors of Design in Creative Media Design Principles Project 2 LECTURES Week 10: During this lecture we were reminded of what our 2nd project was about, watching the video that Mr Charles left us. Afterwards we looked at some classmates work for some feedback, discussing about it in general as well. The theme I want to incorporate into it is loneliness and the feeling of missing home, despite already having a new home in a new place. As the saying goes, 'a home away from home', yet still feeling disconnected to it. Figure 1.0 Paintings depicting loneliness by Edward Hopper This artist does a great job at portraying...

Week 9: No class,  INSTRUCTIONS <iframe src="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1i_zZn93lb3Ev920s5tsbw3UBnH-wsRIw?usp=sharing"width="640"height="480"></iframe> Week 8: Self portrait For this week, we were supposed to create our own self portrait that is supposed to be a reflection of who we are. At the start, I wasn't sure on what I wanted to do, but after watching the videos provided I began to gain ideas on what I wanted to incorporate into the portrait. Figure 1.0 'What is a Self-portrait?' Figure 1.1 Picture of myself I decided to use this photo of myself since it's the most recent one I had that didn't look so horrible. Taking selfies in a pandemic requires too much effort nowadays. This will be the reference as I continu...

Its to help us track our progress. Then we went through various images and examples of work that reflected that week's topic of harmony and unity. Week 6: After looking through feedback for last week's task, we learnt about symbols and typography. We looked at movie posters to see the different compositions of text and images, as well as brand logos to see how the symbol have been created. 31.03.2021 - 21.04.21 (Week 1 - Week 4) Haura Laiqa Naznin / 0345050 / Bachelors of Design in Creative Media Design Principles Task LECTURES Week 0: Introduction to the module, we were given the information booklet to look through. Then, we began learning about the design principles. There are 4 elements that go into design which are concept, practical, relational and visual elements. I learned that giving color and shading to an object makes it a visual illusion, it gives it a shape which makes it a visual. It exists on a plane which is something new I've learned as well. Week 1: We continued with learning about Gestalt's theory and contrast, looking at the different examples given to help us with our task. We then learned about visual arrangements - for example, similar objects tend to group together whereas dissimilar objects tend to separate from each other. There were other points such as proximity and repetition. Week 2: Continuing on we were introduced to the topic...
