Art Direction
Task 1

LECTURES

Week 1: Introduction to what the class was about. We took a look at the art direction in two similar games - Among Us and Goose Goose Duck. Then, we were put into groups in order to create a new art direction for these games, something either similar in gameplay but a different theme or completely different.

Week 2: We played the aforementioned games for this class, but not the whole time! Still, it was for educational purposes to help us understand the differences between the games and the pros and cons for each.

Week 3: We learned about stylization in games, as well as different styles and themes that different games have versus others. This is to help gain a better understanding to how we want our own remake of Among Us/Goose Goose Duck to be like.

Week 4: Now we move on to setting goals for how we want our project to look like. Things such as lighting, setting, UX/UI design and colour palettes.

Week 5: We showed our initial proposal, our very bare-bones idea to the teacher who will give us more ideas and pointers to get a better grasp and concept for our project.

Week 6: Public Holiday.

Week 7: After further working on our initial concepts, we now have a finalized idea on what our project was going to look like. Then we had a proper presentation to the class about said ideas.

Week 8: Independent learning week.

Week 9: Continuing to work on our projects, following the project timeline that each group created.

Week 10: Progression check.

Week 11: Public Holiday.

From week 12 onwards, we continued to work on our project based on the project timeline I created.
