We were then given the PDF to the assignment brief and tracker which allows us to review what assignments will be given each week and what we need in order to achieve it. Moving on from that we were given our first task which was to create a character out of a set of given shapes with rules that we have to follow. Week 2:  The teacher asked us what our favorite characters were. This was to introduce us to the basics of character design, which were explained to have quite a few factors that go into the creation of interesting and fun characters. Some of those factors include colors and shapes, for example rounded characters tend to be good and happy whilst sharper edges could mean evil and anger. 31.03.2021 - 21.04.21 (Week 1 - Week 4) Haura Laiqa Naznin / 0345050 / Bachelors of Design in Creative Media Design Principles Task LECTURES Week 0: Introduction to the module, we were given the information booklet to look through. Then, we began learning about the design principles. There are 4 elements that go into design which are concept, practical, relational and visual elements. I learned that giving color and shading to an object makes it a visual illusion, it gives it a shape which makes it a visual. It exists on a plane which is something new I've learned as well. Week 1: We continued with learning about Gestalt's theory and contrast, looking at the different examples given to help us with our task. We then learned about visual arrangements - for example, similar objects tend to group together whereas dissimilar objects tend to separate from each other. 29.03.2021-05.04.2021 (Week 1 - Week 4) Haura Laiqa Naznin / 0345050 / Bachelors of Design in Creative Media Digital Photography and Imaging LECTURE Week 1: Firstly, we were introduced to the module by being provided with the information booklet. It helped us understand how projects are going to be assessed, as well as what future lessons will be about. Afterwards we were given tips on how to be a successful graphic designer and what programs are best to use for our work. Week 2: For the first part of the lecture we went over last weeks task about our e-portfolios as well as our assigned work where we had to choose 3 graphic design posters and explain why we liked them. Moving on from that, we were introduced to the next part of our course which is basic composition.
