Reflection

Experience: This class has taught me lots of valuable skills to do with editing images on programs such as Photoshop and After Effects. I only had experience with Photoshop before, so learning some new programs was definitely very fun and challenging. Now that I have a better and deeper understanding of them it will make editing photos much more easier in the future. Mr Fauzi's feedback was very appreciated and helpful as well.

Observation: Throughout this module I have improved greatly, or at least I'd like to think that I did. I was nervous but after a few classes I became more comfortable to do what I liked for my exercises and projects. It was very fun.

Findings: There's more to taking and editing photographs than one might think. It isn't as easy as putting on a filter, there's a lot to take into consideration like lighting and colors. Colors have to harmonize well which is what I've learned such as using complimentary colors.

For me, I decided to have it related to my dissertation which was about representation. My main idea was to have a protagonist that other animated movies seem to lack, specifically hijabi representation. This made me think about including my culture into the idea and representing it through the characters and environment. After having some more thought I landed on creating an animation story concept for my final year project. 2023 PDW Reflection Report

 26/10/2023 PDW Reflection Report During the beginning of week 8, I was looking forward to attending the webinars that were organized by our lecturers and Mr. Izwal. The ones that I have chosen were focused on tips in the workplace and interviews as well as insights into the creative industry. One of the few companies that helped put it all together were Allianz, GSK and C47 Creative. The reasons why I chose those specifically were because I had my worries when it came to choosing jobs or internships in the future and the processes that would follow it. Interviews are very common, if you were unlucky and didn't get hired on the spot! It was one aspect that I always felt nervous about when I thought about having to do them in the future, so obtaining advice from the very professionals who conducted them was going to prove very valuable to me.
